It’s Canada| “Not provoking” but issuing travel advisory to exercise high degree of caution in India
Sep 20, 2023
New Delhi, September 20 (ANI): India-Canada diplomatic ties reached new low after Canadian PM Justin Trudeau’s allegations against India. Trudeau claimed of having “credible allegations of potential link between agents of India in killing of Hardeep Singh Nijjar”. Canadian government expelled a senior Indian diplomat and India retaliated in the same manner. India gave Canada the taste of its own medicine and expelled senior Diplomat after the Canadian High Commissioner was summoned. However later, Trudeau tried to do damage control and said that he didn’t want to “provoke India, but wanted answers”. Notably, Canadian authorities updated its travel advisory for India to ‘exercise a high degree of caution’. Canada has advised to avoid all travel to the border regions of J&K, Gujarat, Punjab and Rajasthan. Hardeep Singh Nijjar, for whom Trudeau is raising his voice, was a designated terrorist of Khalistan Tiger Force. Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Nijjar was shot dead outside a Gurudwara in Canada’s Surrey in June 2023.
