“16 bodies recovered so far…” says NDRF personnel as rescue ops enter day 6 in Shimla’s Summer Hill

Shimla (Himachal Pradesh), Aug 19 (ANI): The rescue operations in rain-battered Shimla entered day six on August 19. Joint rescue operations are underway by NDRF, SDRF, Indian Army and local people. So far, 16 bodies, among 20 people have been recovered from the Summer Hill area of Shimla. Over 70 people have lost their lives in the hilly state of Himachal Pradesh due to the deadly monsoon. Moreover, the state has suffered a loss of more than 7,500 crores, as per the govt reports.
