Days after Atiq’s shootout, CM Yogi Adityanath receives death threat, case registered

Lucknow (UP), Apr 25 (ANI): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath received a death threat by an unidentified person on April 25. The threat was received via message on ‘Dial 112’ in which the person stated, “I will kill CM Yogi soon”. Interestingly, ‘Dial 112’ is a number launched by UP government for the emergency services. After receiving the threat, the Operation Commander of ‘112’ filed a case in the police station Sushant Golf City. Reacting promptly to it, a case has been registered under the IPC Section 506, 507 and IT Act 66. As per sources, CM Yogi’s security has been beefed up following death threats message. Also, UP Police has been on ‘alert’ mode since the shootout of Atiq Ahmed, his brother Ashraf Ahmed. Mafia-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed, his brother Ashraf were shot dead in front of media in Prayagraj on April 16. Brother-duo were killed when three people opened fire at them near a medical college in Prayagraj. The incident happened while Atiq Ahmed, his brother Ashraf were being taken for medical checkup.
